Le regole della città
Le regole del server e delle sue piattaforme. Citale per numero: i numeri non cambiano mai.
General rules
NEXT Roleplay is a community first. These are the ground rules for being part of it, on the server and on every platform around it.
Language
Slurs, blasphemy and sexually explicit content are forbidden everywhere: in chat, on signs, in books, in names and on skins.
Respect
No discrimination, racism or apology for hateful ideologies of any kind. Respect for everyone is the one law that applies on every platform of the server, in and out of character.
Provocation and flame
Serious insults, provocation and flame — including debates deliberately dragged out to create hostility — are forbidden out of character.
Harassment
Any prolonged conduct under rule 0.3 aimed at pestering or persecuting one or more people is treated as harassment and punished far more severely than a single episode.
Staff impersonation
Pretending to be staff, or performing actions that are not appropriate to your role, is forbidden. Helping other players is always appreciated — claiming authority you don't have is not.
Spam and advertising
Promoting or publicising content unrelated to NEXT Roleplay, or any illegal material, is forbidden in every form.
Privacy
Sharing another player's private data — real name, face, address, socials — anywhere on the server or its platforms is forbidden, unless the person has clearly published it themselves.
Metagaming
Your character only knows what they lived through in the city.
Outside information
Using information your character did not learn in roleplay — Discord calls, streams, the wiki, a friend at your desk — to gain an advantage in game is metagaming and is forbidden.
Streams and recordings
Watching someone's live stream to locate, follow or counter them in game is metagaming even if you never say a word about it.
Identity
You recognise people by face (skin) and voice, not by nametag. Acting on a name floating over a mask defeats the disguise and counts as metagaming.
Fail RP
Play a person, not a game piece.
Value your life
Your character fears pain and death. With a weapon pointed at you at close range, you comply — you don't pull your own, log out, or sprint away laughing (fear RP).
Powergaming
Forcing actions on another player without giving them a realistic chance to respond, or roleplaying abilities your character cannot possibly have, is forbidden.
Breaking character
Out-of-character talk belongs in the OOC channels. Breaking character in the middle of a scene to argue, negotiate or win is fail RP.
Unrealistic actions
No superhuman stunts to escape consequences: jumping off a roof to avoid arrest, swimming across the bay in full armour, driving through a firefight to loot.
After death
Death has weight, or nothing in the city does.
New life
When your character dies in roleplay, they forget the events that led directly to their death: the killers, the place, the reason. You cannot return for revenge on that story.
Returning to the scene
Do not return to the area of your death while the same scene is still playing out.
Permanent death
Killing a character permanently (CK) requires the explicit consent of the player concerned, or a staff-approved storyline.
Generic actions
Random violence
Attacking or killing without a roleplay reason your victim can understand (RDM) is forbidden. "I felt like it" is not a storyline.
Combat logging
Logging out during a scene — a robbery, an arrest, a chase, a fight — to escape its consequences is forbidden.
Safe zones
City Hall, the hospital and marked spawn areas are safe zones: no crimes, no violence, no dragging a scene into them to escape it.
Baiting
Provoking police or other players out of character to manufacture a scene, or abusing game mechanics to trap someone without roleplay, is forbidden.
Action review
An in-game action is recorded as a clip and reviewed through Atlas: the community has 5 days to evaluate it, oldest clips first. If the deadline passes without a verdict, staff evaluate the clip instead — or Administration, if a Crime-department moderator carried out the action.
Obstructing review
A provocative or uncooperative attitude that hinders the review of an action or event is grounds for staff to void it; the action may then be interpreted in the worst light against the uncooperative party.
Robberies and theft
Requirements
A robbery requires at least 4 on-duty law enforcement officers in the city. To start one, have a melee or ranged weapon in hand and order the victim to stop, giving them time to react to the threat. Robbing a player without first building a roleplay situation is forbidden.
Daily limit
A group may carry out at most 3 robberies per day. The same person cannot be robbed more than once by the same group in the same day, and rotating which members carry it out does not get around the limit.
Limits
During a robbery you may only take what the victim is carrying. You cannot force the victim to hand over items they don't have on them, or use the robbery to reach belongings in their home, storage or other property. The loot must stay proportionate to the roleplay situation.
Protected targets
Robbing or baiting is forbidden against: on-duty law enforcement and hospital staff; on-duty or alerted firefighters; members of your own alliance or criminal organization; and players who joined the server less than 24 hours ago.
Law enforcement
Procedure
Officers act within the law voted in Parliament: identified, proportionate, and accountable. The Politics Portal is the reference for what is actually illegal.
Corruption
Corrupt-cop storylines require staff approval before they start. Freelance corruption for personal gain is forbidden.
Force
Lethal force is a last resort and must always be justifiable in the scene, exactly like everyone else's violence.
Kidnappings
Consent to duration
A kidnapping longer than 30 real minutes requires the victim's out-of-character consent to continue. Nobody's evening is hostage.
Staff and officials
Kidnapping staff members in service, or state officials during official functions, requires prior staff approval.
Criminal organizations
Registration
Gangs and criminal organizations must be registered with staff: name, members, territory. Unregistered mass crime is treated as griefing.
Size and wars
Organizations are capped in size, and wars between them must be declared in roleplay with staff informed. Ambushing "civilians" as an undeclared army is forbidden.
Buildings and structures
Build style
Builds must fit the city: no floating boxes, no lava walls, no pixel art on Main Street. The building team can require changes to anything that breaks the skyline.
Griefing
Destroying or defacing someone else's build outside a staff-approved scene is griefing, whatever the roleplay excuse.
Public land
Claiming, blocking or building on public land — roads, squares, parks — requires a City Hall permit obtained in roleplay.
Cheats and mods
Forbidden
Hacked clients, X-ray (mods or resource packs), duplication and any bug abuse are bannable. Found a bug? Report it on Discord — honest reporters are rewarded.
Allowed mods
Performance mods (Sodium, Lithium, Iris), aesthetic shaders, minimaps without cave view or entity radar, and voice mods required by the server are allowed. When in doubt, ask before installing.
Evidence and accusations
Fabricated evidence
Forging, cutting or doctoring screenshots and recordings used in reports or in-game trials is punished more severely than the offence being reported.
False reports
Knowingly false accusations against players or staff waste everyone's time and are sanctioned as if you had committed the offence yourself.
Trading and purchases
Real-money trading
Selling or buying in-game money, items, accounts or services for real money is forbidden and permanent.
Scams
In-character scams are roleplay and allowed within the rules above. Out-of-character scams — abusing trades, alts or mechanics — are not.
Political actions
Politics is played on the Politics Portal and in the council chamber, with real consequences.
Legitimacy
Laws, decrees and rulings only exist if they went through the Politics Portal: drafted, signed, voted and published in the gazette. A sign on a wall is not a law.
Separation of powers
One person cannot hold executive, legislative and judicial offices at once. The portal enforces what it can; the rest is enforced here.
Parties
Founding
A party needs a name, an acronym, a programme and at least three members, registered on the Politics Portal.
Content
Party names, symbols and programmes must respect rule 0: no real-world extremist references, no hate content, in or out of fiction.
Elections
Campaigning
Campaigning happens in roleplay: rallies, posters, promises you'll regret. Vote-buying with out-of-character favours or real goods is forbidden.
Voting
One citizen, one vote, in person, in game. Alt accounts in any election are a permanent ban for every account involved.
