Money and banking
Accounts, cards, NextPay, and how to read your ledger.
Accounts
/bank opens an account with one of the licensed banks. An account carries a
balance, a plan, and optionally a card. Businesses hold their own accounts,
separate from their owners'.
NextPay
/nextpay is the digital wallet. It has an alias — a short handle other
people can pay without knowing anything else about you — and a PIN. Nobody,
including staff, can read your PIN.
You can request money as well as send it. A request expires if it is not answered.
Reading your ledger
Every movement is recorded: who paid whom, why, through which channel, and whether it settled. A movement that failed stays visible, marked as failed — the ledger is a record of what happened, not a summary of what worked.

Where the money comes from
Wages are paid by employers, not by the server. Prices are set by the businesses that charge them. Banks publish their reserves and their loan-to-deposit ratios in the public registry — the economy is meant to be legible.
